Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
This morning we went to Méli-Mélo on Greenwich Avenue for breakfast. Between the special breakfast menu and regular crepe menu, there was a decent amount of options – if you like French food. Alison had the scrambled eggs, fresh yogurt, and a plain croissant, and Megan had a ham, cheese, and egg crepe with a chocolate croissant. There are not a lot of substantial breakfast options since it is mostly just eggs, fruit, pastries, or a crepe, although the crepes are pretty filling on their own. The food tasted good and came pretty quickly, after only 10 minutes, although we were the only ones in the restaurant.
We decided to give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars for its relative lack of variety on the breakfast menu, time taken from ordering to eating, and the distance from the high school. It opens at 7:00 am during the week, making it very difficult to get food and make it back to GHS before the first bell. Though the breakfast we had was delicious, it’s not the best match for all high school students because not everyone wants a crepe in the morning.
